How to turn strangers into true fans
Mastering the art of persuasion

Hey!
Happy Thursday.
What a great time to be alive.
I’m so grateful for the ability to learn anything online nowadays. I don’t know about you, but when I’m on YT, I can’t get away from these names: Tony Robbins, Alex Hormozi, Gary Vaynerchuk, Jordan Peterson, and David Goggins.
You probably know at least 4 names that I mentioned above. Yes, these guys are famous, they are very influential, and they have lots of fans around the world.
Would you mind if I share you a little secret of how they’re able to turn millions of strangers into true fans?
The secret lies within these 27 words.
This 27-word sentence will change the way you look at:
Content creation
Audience building
Growing your personal brand
Here it is:
“People will do anything for those who encourage their dreams, justify their failures, allay their fears, confirm their suspicions, and help them throw rocks at their enemies.” - Blair Warren
There you have it!
See ya next Thursday!

JK. Let’s dive into each of these and find out why they work.
Encourage dreams
Life is tough, and for most people, it is not easy to have faith in themselves. That’s why it is important that you give people a boost of encouragement and positivity. They will light up with happiness and will want to keep your positive influence in their life.
While building your personal brand, you want people to come to you for a solution. That’s why it’s so important that you understand your audience’s dream, then you encourage them inside the solution that you’re offering.
Parents can sometimes discourage their children's dreams, thinking it's for their benefit, pushing them toward more "practical" pursuits. Children often see this as normal until someone else enters the picture, someone who believes in and supports their aspirations. When this happens, who do you think holds greater influence: parents or strangers?
Justify failures
When a person makes a mistake, they often feel terrible. The last thing they want is for you to point out their error. Instead, offer empathy, take the blame off their shoulders.
One major factor to influence others is to show that you listen, and you understand them.
In a context of your brand, you’re not the first person they have tried to seek solutions from. For whatever reason that they failed in the past, your role is to shift the blame away from them and onto the previous solutions they've tried. This makes them more receptive to considering your offer.
Allay fears
To allay is to ease or reduce the intensity of something.
Nowadays, news sources constantly overwhelm us with headlines that create fear. And, there is a lot we could be afraid about: becoming a homeless, school shooting, low credit score, car breakdown, sharks, tornado with sharks 🤷
People have fear and if you can put those fears to rest, they will follow you to the end of the Earth and back again.
Be a friend, offer them support, tell them stories and evidence. Because when they are afraid, you’ll be the person that they rather be with.
Confirm suspicions
People doubt themselves and question their abilities. This is when you come in and share to them that you had similar suspicions, and you overcame them.
Cults often use this strategy. They make potential members believe that their families are trying to harm them, confirming their doubts.
Here’s a good example done by Duckduckgo, confirming our suspicions.

Throw rocks at enemies
And last but not least… Enemy.
Nothing bonds people like having a common enemy. When people find out that they both have something they don't like in common, whether it's a real person, a problem, or a thought, they start feeling a special connection. This connection is based on the concept of "us against them," which is a strong psychological idea that has been seen throughout history.
For example, the whole thing about “Tax The Rich”, or how people hate “Big Tech Companies”, … And If you follow Money Twitter, we tend to connect with people by hating on the 9-5, and being a slave to your job.
Keep in mind, relying solely on opposition to others can lead to negative dynamics, perpetuating negativity and preventing growth.
To build lasting and positive connections, it’s crucial to move beyond the initial bonding through opposition and focus on shared values, goals, and aspirations.
And that’s all you need to know about turning strangers into true fans.
People will do anything for those who:
Encourage their dreams
Justify their failures
Allay their fears
Confirm their suspicions
Help them throw rocks at their enemies.
Here’s a bonus tip for you.
I want you to sit down, and think about your audience, think about who you’re talking to and make a list (just bullet points) for each of these: (1)their dreams, (2) their failures, (3) their fears, (4) their suspicions, and (5) their enemies.
I find myself learn better when there are examples.
So here's an example of mine:
