Being comfortable for too long can kill you

We gravitate to where there is comfort, and flee at the first sign of discomfort.
It’s in our DNA.
When we’re hungry, a button inside us gets pushed, and we will do anything for food.
If the button wasn’t pushed, we would die.
This button turns on when there’s a discomfort.
When there is comfort, we want it to never change,
When there is discomfort, we want it to change asap.
Laying in bed
Remember when you are laying in bed, it’s soft and cozy.
You hit the snooze button a twice already, not wanting to get up.
That is comfort.
Comfort isn't inherently good or bad
It's just something we get used to and become okay with.
When you realize you're not okay with it, and you're not okay with where you are in life, it starts feeling uncomfortable.
This is when the urge to run away from it kicks in.
Right after you hit the snooze button for the third time, you realize that you’re late for work.
The idea of getting fired starting to hit you.
You are now uncomfortable.
This is when you get up and get ready for the day.
Without the discomfort, you’d probably stay in bed and never leave the house.
To recognize the limitation of your comfort zone, you start to see the ability to achieve greatness from the discomfort.
To embrace the discomfort, is to embrace growth and the belief that things will get better.
Two men
A man who is okay with where he is in life — has a stable job, a nice house, a moderate car and a happy family— isn’t going to do anything to change that.
It would make him feel uncomfortable.
But a man who just got fired from his job, whose rent is due in 7 days, and with a one-week-old baby, this man is going to do anything, anything no matter how uncomfortable it is.
He will do anything to be comfortable.
Be uncomfortable
Discomfort is a state where you recognize the current situation you’re in is shitty.
Discomfort is also a signal telling you to change this situation.
Without discomfort, hopes and dreams would never become reality.
Without discomfort, you will never take action.

P.S:
It’s okay to feel uncomfortable.
But it’s not okay to get used to that feeling
